MLA inspects works at Hiyanglam

Kakching, January 24 2019: Hiyanglam AC MLA Dr Radhesyam today inspected River Lift Irrigation (RLI) schemes and works under PMGSY at Hiyanglam.

During the inspection, the MLA said that the RLI schemes are being taken up at three areas of the constituency- Elangkhangpokpi, near Wabagai Pole Star College and Sekmaijin Turel Wangma.

The work under PMGSY from Lai Panganba to Hiranmei is almost finished, he said.

The 5.4 kms road was reconstructed and revamped as a pilot project using Jute Geotextiles Technology for the first time in the State, he said.

Authorities concerned are closely monitoring the work to maintain quality, he added.

Radheshyam further said that ground breaking ceremony of Lamkhai bazar in between Hiyanglam and Wabagai will be held soon to begin the reconstruction of the market.

Manipur State Rural Road Development Agency EE Ph Bimol, Minor Irrigation Department Thoubal Division AE Michael Johnson Moirangthem and SO Yumnam Inaocha accompanied the MLA.
