Sit-in staged at Bishnupur

Bishnupur, October 23 2019:
In support of the ongoing campaign spearheaded by Co-ordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) formed by major CSOs of the State viz AMUCO, CCSK, HERICOUN, LIPUN and UCM as a preemptive measures in view of the final solution of the 22 years long political diaglogue between GoI and NSCN (IM) that may be signed by the end of the current month which may disintegrate or compromise the territorial integrity of the State, a sit-in protest was jointly organized by Lumlangdong Apunba Nupi Lup and Lumlangdong Ima Keithel Development Committee at Bishnupur market today.

Women folks from different communities took part in the sit-in protest and used placard which read as "Territorial integrity of Manipur cannot be compromised", "Final solution must not go against the collective wish of the people of Manipur", "No Community based arrangement in the final solution", "Final solution of the Framework Agreement should not impinge upon the interest of Manipur" etc.
Speaking to the media on the sideline of the protest, Chairman Lumlangdong Ima Keithel Development Committee, Lourembam Nganbi Leima denounced the undemocratic policy of Central Govt towards of people of Manipur adding that Manipur should be affected by the final agreement at all.
