Kakching, July 23 2023: More than one thousand womenfolk of Kakching formed "'Kakching Apunba Nupi Lup" today.

The women's organisation was formed during a meeting held at Ibudhou Khamnangba Laikol at Moirangthem Leikai, Kakching in the presence of Nongmaithem Bheigyabati, president Kakching Keithel Ima Lup and Moirangthem Anou.

The meeting selected 5-6 women from every locality of Kakching as key members of the Kakching Apunba Nupi Lup while Naorem ongbi Kalpana and Ksh Memcha were elected as convenor and treasurer respectively.

The meeting resolved to protect Manipur's integrity and vehemently condemned the parading of two women nude amid the present crisis.

The meeting urged the Government and the police to book all culprits and award stringent punishment.
