Purul Youth and Student's Organization and Koide Youth and Student's Organization have cautioned that the they would launch agitation if Maram-Koide-Purul road is not revamped at the earliest.
The condition of the road which connects most of the villages in Chiilivai area under Purul sub-division is too bad, said a press statement.
The dilapidated condition of the road is seriously posing threat to public life, it added.
It said that hundreds of vehicles especially travellers from remote villages have to ride on a dangerous hilly road which has innumerable potholes, slippery ground and unmaintained drains and landslides everyday.
It added that Maram-Koide-Road connects not only 27 villages of Lepaona area but also most of the Chiilivai villages under Purul sub-division.
Paomata areas have been also facing similar inconvenience since past two years, the statement said and added that the condition has now become intolerable to the public.
Expressing resentment over indifferent attitude of Department officials particularly Executive Engineer, the two bodies warned that they must be held responsible if any untoward incident happens, the statement said.
It added that the two bodies had repeatedly demanded repairing and development of the said road earlier on many occasions.
However, people's wish and grievances were completely neglected till today without any substantial works being implemented.
