BJP Nungba negates MPCC allegations

Imphal, February 22 2017: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nungba Mandal has refuted the allegations made by MPCC spokesperson Kh Joykisan in local media against BJP and its candidate Adim Pamei of 54-Nungba AC charging the saffron party of all the violence and unlawful activities and having nexus with ZUF and NSCN (IM) .

Terming the allegations as false and baseless, BJP Nungba Mandal, in a press release clarified that BJP and Adim Pamei have no nexus with ZUF, NSCN (IM) or any organisation as alleged by the Congress spokesperson.

The party is purely working on the plank of development, peace, progress and good governance to win the hearts of people in the ensuing 11th State Legislative Assembly election, it stated.

It alleged that all the violence, gunfights and law and order problems in hill areas is the result of the challenge made by Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam against NSCN (IM) that Th Muivah will not win the election if he contests against him in Nungba Constituency and calling the outfit's motto "Nagaland for Christ" as "Nagaland for Satan" during the inauguration of Noney district and openly challenged undergrounds to shoot him.

The passing of three 'anti-tribal' Bills against the wish and interest of the tribals and improper maintenance of law and order in the tribal area also led to the situation, it further alleged.

BJP Nungba Mandal contended that as the Congress Government is sinking in a few days, the Deputy CM and Joykisan are making senseless statements out of frustration against BJP and Adim Pamei.

Asserting that it is the integral humanism approach of BJP and its development model that draw people to the party, it mentioned that as law and order is a State subject, maintenance of peace and tranquillity in the State is the duty of the Government.

All forms of violence and criminal activities are the products of Congress rule in Manipur.

All the armed groups were formed during the Congress regime in the State, it claimed.

It added that BJP is working to restore peace and prosperity in the State.
