Imphal, February 22 2015: As part of the ongoing 103rd birth anniversary celebration of (L) Maj Bob Khathing, 41 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted a 'Run For Fun & Marathon' on Feb 21 .

According to a statement issued by the PRO of IGAR (S), the 'Run For Fun & Marathon' was conducted for the children and youth of Ukhrul district.

Commandant 41 Assam Rifles flagged off the event while Brigadier Peeyush Pandey, VSM, Commander, 10 Sector Assam Rifles attended the event as the chief guest.

Marathon was started from Mini Secretariat to Old Jail Complex and back to TNL Ground.

The race was won by AS Leiya.

Girls also participated in the marathon.

The event was conducted to make the people aware of contributions made by Late Maj Bob Khathing in various fields.
