Imphal, May 21 2015 : Troops of 2 Assam Rifles along with a team of Thoubal district police commandos launched a joint operation at Heirok Part-III Ngarouthel Lampak and apprehended two KYKL cadres on May 19 .

They have been identified as s/s corporal Karam Hemanta alias Phairen alias Bobo (28) s/o K Dhanya Singh of Barpathar Manipur Basti, Golaghat district, Assam and s/s lance corporal Okram Amarjit Singh alias Raj alias Manaobi (20) s/o Okram Premjit Singh, resident of Wangjing Heitupokpi Awang Leikai.

The apprehendees have been handed over to Heirok police station, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .

In another operation, troops of 11 AR along with a team of police commandos launched a joint operation at Muslim Nagar, Ward No 5, Moreh and apprehended an over ground worker of KYKL on May 19 .

He has been identified as Md Zakariya (21) s/o Md Joinlubuddin of Muslim bazar, Ward No-5 (Manipur) .

One Chinese grenade was seized from his possession.

He along with the recovered item have been handed over to Moreh police station, added the press release.

In yet another operation, troops of 12 Bihar launched an operation at Salam Mamang Leikai and apprehended one PREPAK cadre today.

He has been identified as S Ibomacha s/o (L) S Nitai Meitei of Salam Mamang Leikai.

He has been handed over to Patsoi police station, added the press release.
