53rd Statehood Day celebrated

Imphal, January 21 2025:
Manipur State Council, Communist Party of India (MSC/CPI) observed the 53rd Statehood Day of Manipur at Irawat Bhawan today.
As per a statement released by Th Robindro Singh, office secretary, MSC/CPI, former Minister Dr M Nara Singh; L Thoiren Singh, State secretary; secretariat members L Sotinkumar Singh, N Singhajit Singh and M Joykumar Luwang graced the celebration as presidium members.
During the function, Dr M Nara recalled the movement which raised the demand for Statehood for Manipur and the efforts and contributions of CPI and its notable members.
Separately, the Statehood Square Development Committee celebrated the 53rd Statehood Day 2025 at Statehood Square near Mapal Kangjeibung today.
Speaking as the chief guest, L Sotinkumar blamed the BJP led NDA Government for the over 20 month-long conflict in the State.
It is everyone's duty to save the State from the crisis and restore normalcy, he added.
Meanwhile, Ksh Santa, member, Statehood Square Development Committee lauded the unity displayed among the people in the endeavour to attain Statehood.
AC Jayanta, convenor, Statehood Square Development was also present at the celebration of 53rd Statehood Day.
