Imphal, November 20 2021: The Thadou Students Association-General Head quarters (TSA-GHQ) strongly opposed the 24 hours total shutdown called by the All tribal Students Union Manipur (ATSUM) and some other student organizations in connection with the non tabling of ADC Bill 2021 .

TSA in a press release stated that the ADC Bill, 2021 is political in nature and opined that even if the draft bill is introduced forcefully by the Government, it is certain that it will never be approved and passed by the legislative assembly.

The students body maintained that the demand to put up the draft bill in the State legislative assembly is only a mere political vendetta and not the voice of the tribals and it may ignite communalism between the tribal and non tribals in the State.

Hence TSA directed all Thadou inhabitants in the State not to endorse and observe the shutdown.
