The Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) has urged the Tenyimi People's Organization (TPO) to rescind the controversial verdict of July 12, 2024 regarding the land dispute case of Hezing/Kozir/Kezoltsa/kazing in the larger interest of TPO family .
In a press release, ZB (AMN) president K Akhang maintained that 'the verdict of TPO Presidential Council meeting on July 12 is misrepresented or premeditated' .
Stating that the Zeliangrong Baudi (AMN) is a constituent member of Tenyimi People's Organization since the formation of the organization believing in fostering the larger interest and welfare of Tenyimi people as a whole, ZB (AMN) said that in the recent past it has been witnessing several negative doings that may term as deliberate exercised in matter of handling Hezing/Kozir/Kezoltsa/kazing case by the TPO.
'We had time and again reiterated our position that Yangkhullen village owns a major chunk of land traditionally in the disputed area but TPO failed and denied the truth', it said.
The Zeliangrong Baudi stated that Yangkhullen (Ze-Mnui) village had submitted their position paper to include them in the land dispute issue of (Hezing/Kozir/Kezoltso/Kazing) as one of the affected landowners but the truth was denied either premeditatedly or intentionally.
Highlighting that Nagaland Zeliang People's Organisation (NZPO) is not the constituent tribe unit of TPO, the Zeliangrong Baudi termed the dragging of NZPO whose organization's jurisdiction confined only in Nagaland into the issue of Manipur and include therein in the TPO verdict as one of the signatory is totally 'unjustifiable, unacceptable and unsustainable' .
Subsequently the NZPO withdrew their signature on their own volition from the verdict on July 13, 2024, it added.
Stressing that ZB (AMN) is firm on its stand, it said, 'We cannot and would not part an inch of our God given land as a result of this misrepresented or premeditated verdict of TPO presidential council Meeting of the July 12, 2024' .
'For the denial of truth, the Yangkhullen village position, the TPO shall bear responsibilities for all negative consequences as the fall out of the verdict', the Zeliangrong Baudi said.
