Senapati, July 20 2022: A one-day demonstration/training on crop rotation under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) was conducted by Department of Agriculture, Senapati at Kaibi village on Wednesday.

The programme held as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) Season Kharif 2022 was attended by district agriculture officer (DAO) Senapati SP Lovejoy Anal as chief guest and Directorate of Agriculture's district training officer & PMFBY nodal officer N Nilamani Singh as guest of honour, while Agriculture Department Senapati EOs LS Lavei James and B Hekha Mao along with FAs Senapati L S Sani Khrasi and H Katine were present as resource persons.

Speaking on the occasion, N Nilamani informed that all farmers can avail the benefits of PMFBY, while LS Sani Khrasi explained about the organic composition and H Katine spoke on crop rotation.

Later, there was an interaction programme between the resource persons and villagers.

Village authorities, church leaders, student and youth leaders, women society and villagers also attended the event.

Agriculture Department, Senapati also distributed urea, sprayer, paddy seeds and micro nutrients to the villagers at the end of the function.
