Kangpokpi, December 19 2017: The Autonomous District Council Sadar Hills constituted Best School, Best Headmaster/Headmistress and Best Assistant Teacher award and distributed the first award today .

The award ceremony was organized at the office chamber of Vice Chairman, Thangjakam Misao, office premises of SHADC Kangpokpi which was attended by the Councillors and the office staff .

ADC Sadar Hills conferred the Best School award to Keithelmanbi Junior High School for the year 2017, Best Headmaster/Headmistress Award to Bimola Kumari, Headmistress, Chingdai Khullen UJB School and Best Assistant Teacher award to Lamthem Chongloi, Taphou Kuki Upper Primary School .

The Best School Award carries a cash award of Rs 10,000 with an appreciation certificate while Best Headmaster/Headmistress award and Best Assistant Teacher award carries a cash reward of Rs 5,000 each .

The Best School Award was handed over by Vice Chairman, ADC Sadar Hills, Thangjakam Misao while Executive Member, Kaisei Lhouvum and Executive Member, Lunthang Haokip handed over the Best Headmaster/Headmistress Award and Best Assistant Teacher respectively .

Speaking at the award ceremony, Thangjakam Misao said that education sector/department, among many other, is one of the most challenging and biggest Department in the administration of District Council .

He said that there are 12 Junior High Schools, 184 UJB School and around 20-30 Primary Schools under Education Department in Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council, Kangpokpi .

He also stated that Education Department plays the most vital role in the upliftment of future generation and conveyed his appreciation to the awardees and the Education Department officials and Chief Executive Officer of SHADC Kangpokpi for such initiative in conferring the best school, headmaster/headmistress and assistant teacher award.
