212 villagers benifitted in medical camp

Imphal, September 18 2011:
A medical camp was organised by 5 Assam Rifles under HQs 59 Mountain Brigade of Red Shield Division on September 18 in Sangkhomei village.
A total of 212 persons including 150 males, 43 females and 19 children were examined and were provided free medicine during the camp.
On this occasion the medical officer also delivered a lecture about various diseases spreading due to the changes of weather and precautions from the same, stated a press release of PIB (DW).
Meanwhile, a press release issued by PRO IG AR (S) stated that 18 SIKH of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) organized a medical camp on September 18 at village Bijong in Imphal West district.
A team of doctors comprising RMO of 18 SIKH, a Dentist from 9 sector AR, Psychiatrist and Gynecologist from RIMS Hospital, Imphal provided free medical check-up and advice, apart from providing free medicines to the people, hailing from Bijong and other nearby areas.
The specific medical requirements of ladies were exclusively attended by the Gynecologist during the camp.
A lecture on 'Healthy Life Style' was also delivered by visiting specialists for people attending the camp.
The checkup data was shared with concerned PHC for follow up actions.
The camp concluded with certificates of appreciation presented to all the participating Doctors.
On the other hand, 59 Mountain Brigade of Red Shield Division provided stationery and sports items to children of two orphanages located in Senapati district on September 17, said a release of PIB(Defence).
The items were distributed by Maj Vinod Singh to the children of Love Compassionate Ministries (LCM) Orphanage and Compassionate Children Ministries (CCM) Orphanage.
On this occasion Capt A Gauri Shankar, Medical officer posted at Head Quarters 59 Mountain brigade carried out the medical examination of total 65 children and provided free medicines.
