Bodies condole demise ex-MLA Y Thambal of Kakching AC

Imphal, July 18 2022: Manipur People's Party (MPP), Senior Citizens Forum,Kakching and Manipur Ex-MLA Welfare Association expressed deep condolences over the demise of Kakchingex-MLA (1984-90) YengkhomThambal Singh, who was also MPP's Central Committee member.

In their condolence messages, MPP, Senior Citizens Forum and Ex-MLA Welfare Association informed that Thambal, one of the oldest surviving ex-MLA, passed away at the age of 94 years on July 17 at his native Kakching Mayai Leikai village.

The ex-MLA is survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters.

Remembering Thambal as a distinguished parliamentarian and a soft spoken gentleman, the organisations said his sudden demise will be felt by many.

They also conveyed solidarity to the bereaved family in their hour of crisis.

Meanwhile, the Ex-MLA Welfare Association extended a sum of Rs50,000 as a token of love to the family of Thambal Singh.
