FEEDS reaches out to Government in combating COVID-19 crisis

Kangpokpi, April 18 2020: Foundation for Environment and Economic Development Services (FEEDS), Hengbung today in collaboration with KSO Sadar Hills reached out to Government officials in Kangpokpi District Headquarters with their instant hand sanitizer product which was launched recently.

FEEDS Hengbung with the assistance of KSO Sadar Hills president Thangminlen Kipgen distributed alcohol-based herbal instant hand sanitizers to several Government offices in the town in an attempt to prevent the unprecedented COVID-19 outbreak.

The hand sanitizer was developed in the Ethno-Medicinal Research Centre laboratory at FEEDS campus.

The hand Sanitizer was distributed to DC Kangpokpi, SP Kangpokpi, Chief Executive Officer, SHADC Kangpokpi, CMO Kangpokpi, District Hospital along with the Bank Manager and staffs of SBI Kangpokpi Branch and Allahabad Bank Kangpokpi.

The herbal hand sanitizer was prepared following the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) under the aegis of DST-SEED sponsored Core Support Programme of FEEDS Hengbung.

The distribution drive was conducted by Kimjaneng Kipgen, secretary, FEEDS Hengbung, Dr Rupam Patowary, Senior Programmer Officer, Lamkholal Kipgen, Programme Officer, Core Support Programme, FEEDS Hengbung and Jadumani Ahongshangbam, Jr Research Fellow, FEEDS Hengbung.
