Addl Deputy Commissioner (Kangpokpi) exhorts students

"To access highly reputed college in the country one has to be very well qualified and obtain the best percentage in HSLC and secondary level," said DK Thangboi Haokip, Addl Deputy Commissioner (Kangpokpi) along with reminding that Central Board of Secondary Education provides opportunity to students to secure the highest percentage in the examination.
Speaking at the Result Declaration and Prize Distribution Programme of JN Public School, Kanggui, the only educational institution affiliated to CBSE within Sadar Hills so far, Thangboi said Kanggui was once well known for producing good number of scholars, educationists, top Govt officers like IAS/IPS, etc., but has significantly declined these days.

This is mainly because of non availability of good educational institution in the town, noted DK Thangboi in his address as the chief guest.
The programme was also graced by Haokholun Chongloi, Secretary Kanggui Town Committee as the guest of honour.
"Learning is a life long process and education is not only the text book that students learn in their school but is everything the child learns from birth to death", asserted DK Thangboi adding that parents need to give attention to their wards from the first day of their school to the last to keep in touch with the teachers as well as the child development.
Secretary JNPS Doulet Khongsai said competition makes a man develop in every field before adding that JNPS with the coming of new year will change the education system totally with the new syllabus and structure of CBSE under various new teaching techniques.
The school's Annual Sports prizes distribution and declaration of toppers in all classes for the year 2013 followed by distribution of prizes to the toppers as well as declaration of Best Student of the year marked the function.
Green house was declared over-all champions in the School Annual Sports Meet while Miss Christina of Class VI has been conferred Best Student of the year 2013 .
