Imphal, July 17 2024: Thounaojam Romen Singh and Thokchom Bungojit Singh have been appointed as the Manipur State Working President and Imphal West District President of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) .

The appointment orders were handed over by the party's National General Secretary and North East In-Charge Youth Wing, Wangkheirakpam Shreeman Singh, during an event held at Imphal Hotel on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Th Romen Singh said that he will urge the LJP(RV) central leaderships to help resolve the prolonged conflict which has been going on in the State for more than a year.

He lamented that the conflict which began on May 3, 2023, has led to irreparable loss of precious lives & properties, left thousands of people displaced forcing them to take shelter at relief camps.

Highlighting that LJP(RV) is a part of the National Democratic Alliance led by Bharatiya Janata Party, he shared that steps are being taken under the initiative of Party National President and Union Minister of Food Processing Industries Chirag Paswan, to establish an Autonomous Food Processing Unit in the State.

Further, Th Romen asserted that the party aims to create job opportunities for the youth, provide income generating opportunities and empower weaker sections of the society.
