KIM, AMMOCOC and others provide food items

AMMOCOC and social worker, Elangbam Johnson, ex-UCM president under the aegis of Kuki Inpi Manipur reached out to the less fortunate people of Litan area in Ukhrul district yesterday with relief materials during the pandemic COVID-19.KIM, AMMOCOC and Elangbam Johnson visited fourteen villages including Chehpu Jaolen, Litan Sareikhong, Mongkot Chehpu, Sangkai, Lamlai Chingphei, Jalenbung, Molnom, Songphel, Mullam, Pashong, Molsohoi, Shongmun, Thawsi Kuki, K Mollen and Khomunnom.
The relief materials including 30 bags of rice, dal, edible oils and masks were handed over at Lamlai Chingphei community hall in the presence of area chiefs and local MDC Zamkholet Khongsai.
Kuki Inpi Manipur president Khaimang Chongloi, All Manipur Muslim Coordinating Committee president, Md Jalal and UCM ex-president Johnson Elangbam spoke on the occasion about the importance of brotherhood and peaceful co-existence among all communities.
The civil organizations of Litan area gifted wild fresh vegetables contributed by the villagers to the visiting team.
WATEFADEAS provides packed lunch
As part of its campaign "Work and Fight COVID-19", Wangjing Tentha Farmers Development Association (WATEFADEAS) provided lunch packs to security personnel deployed at Thoubal and Kakching districts as well as to farmers of Ikop Pat, today.
Lunch packs were provided to security personnel deployed at Thoubal Thong, Melaground, Ushoipokpi, Tangje, Wangjing, Khongjom, Sora, Kakching Lamkhai, Tentha and Kakching Bazar among others.
Speaking to media persons, chief functionary of WATEFADEAS, Moirangthem Hemanta, who is also a former Minister, said that the lunch packs were distributed to security persons as a token of appreciation for guarding the State amid the lockdown.
He also said that boosting one's immune system is imperative to fight the COVID-19 .
Leirongthel Baptist Church
Pastor of the Leirongthel Baptist Church along with church members distributed food items of potatoes, edible oil, peas, ngari, onion, soap, sugar, tea leaves etc to about 40 households in Leirongthel and Malom village of Heirok Assembly constituency.
