RNSOM extends solidarity to labourer's association

Imphal, January 17 2020: The Rongmei Naga Students' Organisation Manipur (RNSOM) has extended solidarity to the CAF and PD Labourers' Association who had been 'retrenched' from FCI Sangaiprou and Jiribam.

A press release issued by RNSOM's president said that the organisation (RNSOM) cannot remain as a mute spectator to the injustice meted out by 'self-centred' contractor NR Mathai Enterprise to hundred of labourers of FCI I Sangaiprou and Jiribam godowns.

Saying that such retrenchment is against the law, it expressed dissatisfaction over the State Government for remaining silent.

Special attention should be paid by the authority concerned and the State Government to ensure that the life and career of the labourers' children are not jeopardised by the present circumstances, it said, the organisation urged all concerned to bring out an amicable solution at the earliest.
