Imphal, August 16 2014 : The Zeliangrong Students' Union - Khoupum Area (ZSU-KA) congratulated Moses Riamei s/o Kaneichung Riamei of Duithangjang village, Goitang and Meithungam Solomom Kamson s/o Aduan Kamson of Thanagong village, Khoupum on clearing AIPMT 2014 (ST Rank No 17 Manipur) and UPSC, CAPF 2013 (all India rank 196) respectively.

ZSUKA also congratulated Chunpuilu Thaimei d/o Khuannulung Thaimei of Taosem village, Goitang and Jangsinlung Kamei s/o Raguanglok Kamei of Soubunglong (Leisok) village of Don Bosco College, Maram for securing 1st position in Sociology and Economics in the BA examination 2014 conducted by the Manipur University respectively.

In another press release, the Union conveyed that Independence Day celebration was organised on August 15 at Khangsillung Higher Secondary School, Khoupum Sub-Division, Tamenglong.

During the celebration, the union organised a one-day Inter School Literary Meet under the theme, 'Towards Quality Education".

The function was graced by the Assistant Inspector of Schools, Paobuanlung Gangmei as chief guest.

The meet was participated by the students of six high schools of Khoupum Division.

Don Bosco High School, Khoupum Bazar won 1st prize in debating and extempore speech competitions while Glory English School, Gaidimjang received the 1st prize in essay writing and Quiz competitions, it said.
