Barrack type quarters inaugurated

Ukhrul, February 16 2019: Ukhrul ADC vice chairman M Isaac and Executive member K Ramshang have inaugurated Barrack type quarters in two separate villages at South Tusom Primary School and Maileng Primary School under Phungyar subdivision, Kamjong.

Speaking at the inauguration programme, M Isaac said that the programme was held to hand over the newly inaugurated quarters to the villagers.

He also distributed blankets and sugar to the senior citizens of the village during the inaugural function.

K Ramshang stated that ADC, Ukhrul has also proposed to construct more such barrack quarters in the district, which will provide accommodation and stay for council teachers in the rural areas to provide education at door step.

Urging the council teachers to station at their respective posting places during the academic session, he appealed the villagers to protect the public property.

The Barrack type quarter, which has eight rooms and a toilet, was constructed in 2015-16 under SPA project implemented by Ukhrul ADC.

The inauguration function was also attended CEO, Ukhrul Polly Makan, DI Anderson A' Shimray, AIs, staffs and the villagers.
