'Miyamgi Numit' held at Lilong PS

Thoubal, November 15 2019: As part of 'Meeyamgi Numit' which is conducted in different police station of the state, an interaction programme with the localities of Lilong and the SP Thoubal district Dr S Ibomcha Singh (MPS), organized by Lilong PS, was held at its campus today.

The interaction programme saw participation from locals and representatives from various organizations based in Lilong and its adjoinging area where issues like absence of proper toilet and rising cases of drug problems were discussed.

Speaking at the occasion, SP Thoubal Dr S Ibomcha Singh said that with the consent of the locals present in the interaction programme, it has been agreed to organize a Mini Marathon for the residents of Lilong including the police personnel on November 30.The said Marathon will be jointly organized by District Police Thoubal in association with Lilong Bazar Area Development Committee, ALADA and ANJUMAN and will be sponsored by Adakshya, Thoubal district Hasina Begum, he added.

He further said that the 1st prize will carry a cash incentive of Rs 10,000 while the 2nd and 3rd prize will carry cash incentives of Rs 7,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively adding that Rs 1,000 cash award will be given to the next 10 persons as consolation prize.

He appealed to public of Lilong to participate in the mini marathon against drugs abuse.
