Mobile sale of essential commodities held

Imphal, September 15 2024: The Department of Consumer Affairs Food & Public Distribution (CAF&PD), Government of Manipur organised mobile sale of essential commodities at different locations of Imphal West and Imphal East districts today.

Rice under Open Market Sale Scheme (Domestic) and other essential commodities were provided at a discounted price to the people at different locations including Samu Makhong, Lamlong Keithel, Lamlai Keithel and Kongba Keithel.

District Supply Officers of the Department visited the locations to ensure smooth conduct of the mobile sale.

Speaking to the media, District Supply Officer of Imphal East, Bhupendra expressed hope that the mobile sale will be able to provide some relief to the people who are facing a lot of difficulties due to the prevailing law & order situation in the State.

Appealing to the people to provide their support, he asserted that the Department is making arrangements to organise similar programmes at different locations of the State.
