Imphal, May 15 2022: A one day discussion programme on the importance of building a healthy relation among the lyricist, singers and music composers was held today at Manipur Dramatic Union (MDU), Yaiskul.

The programme was organised by Artiste Training cum Educational Research Centre (ATEREC) .

Dr Hamom Naba, former president of AMMIK, Sobita Soubam, president of ATEREC, MA Jabar, social reformer and lyricist of All India Radio Imphal and Kangabam Bijaya Chanu, president of North East Women Entrepreneur Association graced the inaugural session as the presidium members.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Hamom Naba stressed on the need of developing a platform to sensitize the budding singers, lyricists and music composers about the importance of creating music pieces which will contribute in enhancing the music industry in the State.

Therefore it is highly essential to build and maintain a healthy relation of co-operation and support among the singers, lyricists and music composers, he added.
