NPF, MPTC, others flay killing of Manisana

The Naga People's Front (NPF) Manipur State and Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress (MPTC) have condemned the assassination of H Manisana, Vice-President of MPP in broad daylight in a high security Imphal airport area by unknown assailants while also saying that killing of such political leader in a barbaric manner deserves condemnation from all quarters.
Inspite of the hue and cry, the State Govt paid least attention on law and order and Chief Minister O Ibobi and Dy CM Gaikhangam never accept their mis-governance, a statement issued by the NPF said.
Making a scathing attack on the alleged failure of the State Govt to maintain law and order even in Imphal area, the MPTC in a statement issued by the General Secretary (Adm), Th Inaocha Singh said the killing is a result of the uneven providence of security by the State Govt.Demanding immediate investigation and arrest of the culprits, the MPTC also demanded that President's Rule be imposed in the State instead of a Govt that couldn't provide security to its citizens.
The NPF said that the present Congress Govt has become arrogant as Chief Minister and his Council of Ministers never bothered to protect the lives of the innocents as if they are feeling jubilant when innocent citizens were being killed, the NPF lambasted while saying that their concern seems only to announce payment of ex-gratia or compensation.
It also blamed mis-governance of the present Congress Govt for all killings that took place on daily basis in the State.
"The State law & order has completely failed and the lives and properties of the citizens are too insecure as killing of innocents has become a daily phenomenon, " the NPF said.
"Instead of maintaining law and order and preventing crimes, rushing of top police officers to crime scenes after the incidents become daily routine which amounts to mockery," it said.
The NPF also called upon the public to awake and protect innocent precious lives as public can't rely on this present crippled Manipur State Govt.The NPF Manipur also shared the grief and sorrow of the bereaved family and pray for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Meanwhile, the MPTC workers have observed a two-minute silence as a prayer for the departed soul to rest in peace.
At the same time, Janata Dal (United), Shiv Sena Manipur State, Manipur State Committee of All India Forward Bloc and Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA) have condemned the assassination of Manisana.
