Governor visits College of Food Technology, CAU Imphal

Imphal, October 13 2024: Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya visited the College of Food Technology, Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal on Sunday.

According to a release issued by PRO Raj Bhavan, the Governor was accorded a warm welcome at the college by Dr Anupam Mishra, Vice-Chancellor of CAU, along with other faculty members.

During the visit, the Governor was given a comprehensive tour of the college's food processing equipment and manufacturing facilities, designed to enhance student learning in food technology.

The Governor commended the College and the University for their commitment to advancing local produce development and manufacturing in the State.

He inspected the Biofloc Units at the college, where various fish species and fish feed are cultured.

The Governor also visited the North East Food Museum at Ecotourism Park, CAU, Imphal.

In an interactive session at the Administration Block, Lakshman Prasad Acharya engaged with students, answering their questions and sharing his insights.

He also stressed on the vital role of agriculture in shaping the Nation's future and highlighted the importance of educating the younger generation on sustainable farming and good nutrition.

Later in the evening, Govind Prasad Uniyal, CO, 109 Bn, CRPF called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan, Imphal.
