Tamenglong, August 13 2015: The district administration Tamenglong on Thursday observed Patriot's Day at the office Chamber of the Deputy Commissioner Tamenglong with Deputy Commissioner Tamenglong M Luikham on the Chair.

M Luikham led the floral tributes to, both the heroes of Manipuri nation, Tikendrajit and Thangal General and followed by Commandant of 5th MR, TK Anal, ADM Tamenglong Joseph Pauline, SDOs and district level officers.

Giving the speech on the occasion, M Luikham IAS said that Manipur came under British government after the arrest and hanging of Bir Tikendrajit and Thangal General.

Manipuri people, on August 13 of every year, have been observing it as Patriots Day paying floral tributes to these heroes.
