Imphal, July 13 2021: Meisnam Rajdeep, s/o Meisnam Samarjit and Dr S Gayatri of Lalambung Makhong, RIMS Road has made the State proud by securing a seat at the prestigious Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) .

A student of Kendriya Vidyalaya Lamphel at present, Meisnam Rajdeep is the lone candidate from the North East to have qualified for the institution for the next batch that is scheduled to commence from January 2022.Dehradun based RIMC is an Inter Service Category 'A' establishment administered through the Army Training Command (ARTRAC) under the aegis of Ministry of Defence (MoD) alongside institutions like National Defence Academy at Khadakwasla, Officers Training Academy at Chennai and Indian Military Academy at Dehradun.

Around 25 candidates are selected through an All India Competitive examination followed by an interview and a medical fitness test for the said course.
