KBC takes over voluntary catering service

Kangpokpi, July 13 2020:
Continuing the good Samaritan act of serving the inmates of Institutional Quarantine Centres (IQCs) within Kangpokpi DHQs, the Kuki Baptist Convention Centre Church Kangpokpi voluntarily took over the catering service from KCC for fifteen days.
Earlier, Kangpokpi Christian Church (KCC) had voluntarily embarked on catering the returnees at various IQCs in the district for one month, which ended on July 4, after which the Kuki Baptist Convention Centre Church Kangpokpi voluntarily took over the responsibility for fifteen days.

The women, youth and men wing and Board of Deacon including the Pastor of KBC Centre Church Kangpokpi are all involved in the voluntary service.
According to the Church secy Seiminthang Lupheng, the voluntary catering service at the centralized kitchen of the Church is done on roaster basis among the women, youth, men department and board of deacon.
He said that cooking started as early as 4 am and closed only around 7 pm and meals are dispatched latest by 9 am and evening batch by 4 pm .
At present, food is being arranged for more than 200 inmates in around 13 IQCs, he added.
The Church pastor Rev Letpu Kipgen while speaking on the sideline said that believing in the phrase "Service to humankind is service to God", the decision to volunteer in the catering service was taken by the Church and all its departments.
He added that the Church and its members also prays for safety and good health of all the inmates in IQCs.
