AMCO discusses tense situation amongst communities

Imphal, October 12 2020: The All Manipur Christain Organisation (AMCO) has discussed the prevailing tense situation amongst communities arising from the land issue of the National Sports University during its general body meeting held today.

In a statement, the apex Christain body of Manipur expressed deep concern over the tense situation prevailing in and around Haraothel village and appealed to all stakeholders concerned to resolve the situation through peaceful dialogue.

The organisation condemns any form of violence and spreading of rumours that may incite 'communal violence' and tension in the State, it said and further appealed to the State Government to resolve the issue at the earliest.

The meeting was held at AMCO office at New Checkon.
