IRCS distributes blankets to displaced people

Jiribam, December 11 2024: Under the initiative of Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur Branch (IRCSMB), Indian Red Cross Society, Jiribam Branch distributed blankets to the IDPs of Bidyanagar Relief Camp and Jiribam Higher Secondary School Relief Camp.

The distribution ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner of Jiribam, Krishna Kumar (IAS), SDC, M Devanand (MCS), Atom Bijendro Singh, SDC of Jiribam along with IRCS Jiribam branch, Chairperson, Huirem Rajen and volunteers of IRCS Jiribam branch.

Speaking at the occasion, L Jaminikanta Singh, general secretary of IRCS Jiribam stated that the initiative was held under the supervision of IRCS, Manipur.

He continued that the blankets are distributed to help in alleviating the inconveniences faced by the displaced people during this winter season.

The blankets were distributed to around 100 IDPs of the two relief camps.
