Imphal, August 11 2022: The Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West has remanded an active cadre of Kuki National Liberation Army who was allegedly involved in ambushing a team para commando at B Gamnom on October 10, 2021 .

Accused Hendavida (35), s/o Lunkham of Torbung was arrested from Jiri parking areas last night by the special commando unit of Khabeisoi and handed him over to City police.

The accused was produced before the Court by a team of City, police along with a prayer for seven days police remand.

As per the IO of the case, Lunkham joined KNLA in 2021 through two individuals Angamkhogin Kipgen and Timthang Haokip and took part in the ambush which targeted security forces at B Gamnom village in October last year.

The Court sent the accused to police custody till August 16 after hearing the submission of the IO .
