87 Bn CRPF dedicates waiting shed

With a view to express profound humanitarian gesture and respect for the late freedom fighter Haipou Jadonang Malangmei, 87 Battalion CRPF stationed at Jiribam conducted a civic action programme at Puiluanh village, Kambiron (birth place of the legend).
Commandant of the Battalion dedicated a bus waiting shed to the villagers, under the civic action programme, in the presence of Dr Florence Dangmei, CMO, Sachin Kumar Gupta, DC, Sanjeeb Kumar Nanda, DC, Prabhat Kumar, AC, village chief of Kambiron, CH Sarjan, OC Nungba, officers from railway and hundreds of villagers, said a press release issued by the Battalion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commandant maintained that 87 Battalion CRPF has developed a cordial relationship with all the villagers in its area of responsibility and many such welfare initiatives will be carried out in the near future at various places of deployment of the unit.
He also said that the aim of CRPF is to build a strong Nation with cooperation from the public.
Meanwhile, Dr Florence Dangmei praised the people for their support and positive outlook for CRPF.
Kajeidingpou Dangmei, village secretary along with all the villagers appreciated the noble initiative of the 87 Battalion CRPF, it said.
A similar programme was conducted in Barak village where a toilet block was dedicated to the public.
