Yengkhom Devson clarifies

Yengkhom Devson, who is currently undergoing treatment at Shija Hospitals after he was allegedly beaten up by the members of JCILPS, clarified that he had not used any abusive language to JCILPS members.
Saying that he is not against JCILPS, Devson apologised to the Committee requesting for forgiveness if he had used any abusive words unintentionally.
Interacting with a group of reporters at Shija Hospitals, Devson said that on September 5, one of his workers came running inside his office located at Singjamei.
Saying that the non-local worker was chased by a youth, Devson said that the youth beat up the non-local in his office.
Within minutes, a group of youths also came at the office and joined the youth, he added.
As the non-local was one of his workers, Devson said, he enquired what was the matter.
One of the youths possessed a video camera and recorded the incident, he added.
Although, there were some heated arguments between him and the group of youths, there were no confrontation at all and he thought that the issue was over and resolved, Devson said.
However, after some days he came to know that he was summoned at JCILPS office, Devson said and added that he went to JCILPS office on September 8 .
After reaching the office, he waited for some hours for the talk.
Later, he was called inside a room and showed the video footages taken on September 5 in his office, Devson said.
Within a few seconds, the doors were locked and started assaulting him without uttering a single word to him, Devson said.
He also clarified that he did not use even a single abusive word against the JCILPS.
Saying that he is not against JCILPS and Devson appealed to the committee if he had spoken anything wrong against JCILPS by mistake during the altercation of September 5 .
