Joint Working Committee appreciates Mnistry of Tribal Affairs

Imphal, December 09 2011:
The Joint Working Committee of Inpui, Liangmai, Rongmei and Zeme (Manipur) have expressed profound appreciation to the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt of India, specially V Kishore Chandra Deo, Union Minister of Tribal Affairs for the bill introduced in the Parliament on December 7 to give schedule tribe status to Inpui, Liangmai, Rongmei, Zeme, Thangal and Mate communities, informed a release issued by the chairman of the joint working committee.
It is also acknowledged the recommendation made by the State Government in regards to the submission of the Bill in the Parliament.
