Faculty Development Programme kicks off

A week-long Faculty Development Programme on "Advanced Pedagogy and Classroom Delivery Enhancement Techniques in Higher Education" began today at the premises of Department of Education, Manipur University, Canchipur.
The inaugural function was graced by MU, Mathematical and Physical Sciences, former Dean, Prof S Dorendrajit; MU, Malaviya Mission-Teacher Training Centre, Director, Prof RK Bhubon Singh; Indian Skills Academy, Managing Director, Anjan Chowdhury and MU, Department of Education, Head, Prof K Shitaljit as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof K Shitaljit, Programme Coordinator, said that the changes in education policy will directly affect a change in teaching methods and curriculum to meet the evolving needs of the society.
He asserted that the programme was organised to discuss the ways these changes can be applied in higher education.
The 7-days programme will be participated by about 100 persons.
87 persons have registered online while 10 persons registered in off-line mode to take part in the programme.
