Go to Village Mission at Tamenglong, Noney

Tamenglong/Noney, May 09 2018: Tamenglong District Administration today launched the Go to Village Mission at Kahulong village and Goinanglong village in Tamenglong.

Go to Village Tamenglong District Nodal Officer, Science and Technology Commissioner, IAS, Thaithuilung Panmei attended the programme as chief guest.

Speaking at the program he lamented that various schemes and projects launched by the Government are to give benefits to the public.

The Government and the public should work together for the schemes/benefits to reach the people, he appealed.

The various departments of the Government must work with transparency and without any bias in this mission, he said.

ADC Tamenglong Sangthuiyang Pamei, DC Tamenglong Armstrong Pame, CEO Tamenglong D Gangmei, SDO Tamenlong Kachamthai Pheiga Gangmei and different DLOs of the district departments also attended the programme.

Go to village mission programme was also held in Noney district at Nungba village and Oinamlong Village under Tousem Sub-Division.

MSDMA, vice chairman Adim Pamei attended the program at Nungba village as chief guest and ADC member Khiakpou Kamei as president.

At the end of the programme, a public interaction program with the SDO of Nungba was also held.

Various benefits of the programme, projects and schemes were highlighted during the programme.

Public leaders, Church leaders and representatives of various civil society organisations attended the programme.

Meanwhile, Longmai village also joined the second phase of 'Go to Village' mission at Thangal village for Thangal Cluster/DCC.

The launching programme was attended by DC Tamenglong, Hungyo Worshang, BJP Tamenglong District president M Daniel, SDO Longmai Robert Longjam, SDO Haochong Asghar Arzade, SDC Nungba Oinam Poireingamba apart from chiefs of different villages of Longmai (Noney).

Different Departments including Social Welfare, ADC Tamenglong, Horticulture, Manipur Rural Bank etc extended numerous assistance and welfare schemes to the beneficiaries.
