The JAC met with L Devendro who is CM-in-charge yesterday where he said that he had discussed the matter with the Nagaland government and they have asked to wait for the arrival of O Ibobi in Imphal and will sort out whatever is possible.
After discussing the statement made by the government the JAC has decided to give one more day to the government.
If the government fails to comply with the demand made by the JAC by 6pm tomorrow, various forms of agitations will be taken up, he said.
He further said the JAC had never demanded for the release of GM Changjou, but requested the government to at least disclose his whereabouts.
This act of withholding is whereabouts is a total violation of human rights.
The mother and wife of GM Changjou have also filed a writ petition of Hebeas Corpus to the Gauhati High Court.
