Nemcha Kipgen takes stock of departmental infrastructure

Minister for Textiles, Commerce and Industry (TCI), Nemcha Kipgen took stock of the various infrastructural development of the TCI Department in Churachandpur district today.
Minister Nemcha Kipgen visited the Industrial Estate in Churachandpur which is listed for inauguration as a part of the State Government's 100 Action Plan for First 100 Days.
On her visit, Nemcha Kipgen sought cooperation from the locals for proper maintenance of the Industrial Estate once it is fully functional.
"Presently, Industrial Estate of Imphal West district at Takyelpat, Bishnupur district at Tera Urak and Industrial Estate of Thoubal district at Kuraopokpi are functioning at full swing", she added.

The Textiles Minister also assessed the infrastructures of District Industrial Centre (DIC), Churachandpur, Cluster Type of Training Centre, Livelihood Business Incubation Centre and inspected the Cold Chain Unit which is still under construction.
It may be mentioned that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in the year 2018 decided to set up industrial estates in each of the 16 districts of Manipur with the financial assistance from the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and NEC.
Minister Nemcha also interacted with the staff of the DIC, Churachandpur and urged for their cooperation in the efficient functioning of the Department to further contribute in the socio-economic development of the State.
Managing Director, MANIDCO, Peter Salam, and concerned officers and officials of the Department accompanied the Minister in her visit.
