Imphal, January 08 2014: Yesteryears rock band Post Mark is all set for a re-union and the band members have completed all preparations to celebrate the band's silver jubilee with a concert on January 11 at Sagolband Sayang Pukhri Achouba Mapal.

Speaking to media persons at Keishamthong Laisom Leirak this afternoon, organising committee of the rock concert and founder member of Post Mark S Hemant said altogether 14 local rock bands viz; Pulse Pundit, Cleave, The Band, The 3 Strings, Chem-Weed FM, War Machine, Yu-Thak Wah, Vomiting Purity, Necrotizing Fascitis, Maniac, Viagra Haze, The Grammo Records, State of Confusion and Healing Crisis would perform at the concert.

The bands would sing hit numbers of Post Mark in their own tunes apart from presenting their original numbers.

Another founder member and senior journalist Khelen Thokchom said that Post Mark has more inclination towards thrash and heavy metal genres and its tune/music is a fusion of local traditional music and western music.

Post Mark was set up in 1989 and released its album Stamp on You before it went into hibernation following demise of vocalist Ksh Abungcha on April 4, 1999.Even though the band members have moved to different professions, the concert is being organised with a view to re-unite the band on the occasion of its silver jubilee, Khelen said.

A commemorative T-shirt was also released in connection with the silver jubilee.
