Thoubal, September 07 2019: A one-day orientation programme on the life and literary works of Kavi Leitanthem Ram Singh jointly organized by Kavi Leitanthem Ram Singh Memorial Trust, Thoubal in association with Thoubal College and Manipur Sahitya Samiti Thoubal was held at the conference hall of Thoubal College today.

The programme was attended by Retd Wing Commander Akoijam Devendra as chief guest and vice-president Kavi Leitanthem Ram Singh Memorial Trust Dr Thounaojam Khomdon Singh as functional president while Principal Thoubal College Okram Chaoba Devi attended as guest of honour.

As part of the programme, led by the presidium members, the gatherings paid floral tributes and respect to the photo of late Kavi Leitanthem Ram Singh while a Souvenir dedicated to Kavi Ram Singh and a poetry book titled "Mei Chakliba Iramdam" published by Manipur Sahitya Samiti Thoubal written by Retd Associate Prof Thoubal College Dr Kh Meinodas Singh were also released by the dignitaries.

During the programme, Retd Senior Grade Lecturer Thoubal College Moirangthem Rajendra delivered the keynote speech while Principal Imphal College Dr Moiranghem Priyobrata Singh, Assistant Prof English Dept Thoubal College W Mema Devi and Assistant Prof Manipuri Dept Dr Md Nayirul Khan spoke as resource persons.
