Imphal, August 07 2015 :
Taking serious note of the frequent bandhs and general strikes and its impact on the education of the young students, the proscribed politburo standing committee of the Kangleipak Communist Party has stated that there is the urgent need to initiate measures to protect the academic interests of the students.
In a statement signed by the chairman of the politburo standing committee, Ibungo Ngangom, the outfit said that the issue was discussed during an online meeting today and added that though no conclusions could be reached, certain measures will be taken up and the same will be made known to the public soon.
Supporting the demand raised to enforce the Inner Line Permit System in Kangleipak, the outfit said that it is not only a legitimate but also an indispensable tool for survival of the indigenous people.
However it is also disappointing and paradoxical to note that the indigenous people of Kangleipak have been taking part in the elections since 1949 .
Giving statistics, the outfit said that in the 2012 'so called Manipur Assembly election,' 79.19 pc of the people voted and 72 pc voted in the 2014 Lok Sabha election.
The price the people are paying today is for the short sightedness of the past, added the outfit.
The statement further said "the Politburo Standing Committee of the Kangleipak Communist Party under my leadership is of the view that the best way of responding to the evil designs of the Government of India vis-a-vis Kangleipak is by simply boycotting the electoral processes of India" .
Certain sections of 'traitors and quislings' among the people of Kangleipak cannot be prevented from taking part in the elections, said the outfit but added that their percentage cannot be enough to lend legitimacy to future elections in Kangleipak.
In other words, if the polling percentage in Kangleipak is reduced below 50 pc any electoral process in Kangleipak automatically becomes a mockery in the eyes of the international community, claimed the outfit.
"This is how the indigenous people of Kangleipak can thwart the evil policies of the Government of Indian being pursued with the connivance of the elite local political class of Kangleipak, whose only concern is to gain power and make money," claimed the outfit.
The outfit has also invited all concerned to send ideas and suggestions regarding a Medical Sector Regulation Framework that is being drafted.
This regulation framework is scheduled to be introduced before the end of this year and the suggestions may be sent to [email protected], added the statement.
Anyone interested in sending mails to the outfit have been advised to send mails only using the outfit's public key, which is available at MIT Public Key Server (https://pgp.mit.edu/) .
This is despite the fact that there has been no record of anyone hacking the email account of the outfit.
The outfit has also announced that as in the past Republic Day on August 15 this year too will be banned in Kangleipak and added that August 15 will be called "Go Back India Day" .
Violators will be penalised, said the outfit and detailed that any adult taking part in the celebrations will be punished in a more-than-serious manner.
For minors, their parents/guardians will be punished instead.
In case of schools/colleges/organizations, they will be permanently banned in Kangleipak, warned the outfit.
There will also be 'zero movement rule' on the said day, said the outfit and added that the restrictions will be relaxed for emergency health related services.
