Imphal, July 07 2022: Court at Churachandpur has remanded 75 Myanmar Nationals including 15 children to judicial custody while five juveniles (2 boys and three girls) have been sent to an observation home.

About 80 Myanmar Nationals were arrested by Churachandpur police from various localities of the district on June 28 .

According to credible sources, 60 Myanmar Nationals were produced before the Court on completion of their police custody remand along with a prayer to send them to judicial custody.

The Court on perusal of the case record and after hearing the submission of the IO remanded 25 males to judicial custody at Manipur Central Jail at Sajiwa while 35 females have been sent to judicial custody at Manipur Central Jail at Old Lambulane.

The Court also ordered to lodge the 15 children at Manipur Central Jail at Old Lambulane and the five juveniles (Myanmar Nationals) at observation homes at Churachandpur and Langthabal.
