Imphal, July 07 2018:
The CorCom has categorically stated that any peace talk initiated by the Government of India can never be fitted within the revolutionary movement of the land because all such peace talks are deceitful and the process of peace talk never gives any space to honour the objectives of the revolutionary movement.
A statement issued by CorCom Convenor I Chaoren on the occasion of the committee's 7th foundation day (July 8) asserted that India is yet to accept the issue of Manipur's liberation as a political issue worth deliberation.
Neither the agreements signed with revolutionary groups of neighbouring States nor the ongoing dialogue processes are based on restoration of the lost sovereignty of the neighbouring States from the viewpoint of India.
As testified by the Government of India's consistent attempt to disarm revolutionary groups and divert them from their political goals, and take them (revolutionary groups) within the Constitution of India, it is very clear that the Government of India would never create a conducive atmosphere for holding political dialogue on restoration of Manipur's sovereignty, Chaoren asserted.
When ex-President Pranab Mukherjee was India's External Affairs Minister, he stated that it would be quite difficult for any Indian Government to let any part of the country secede and this is the position of India.
Again veteran BJP leader LK Advani categorically stated that there can be no peace talks with revolutionary either unconditionally or on certain conditions.
As such, there is no question of the Government of India ever giving any honourable space to the political objectives of revolutionary groups within the peace talks initiated by New Delhi.
Citing the history of independent Manipur in connection with contemporary National issues while overlooking the right to independence would not serve any purpose.
"Deliberations on our own weaknesses and lapses would not be enough to bring the Mampuri society on the right track when the malignant process of Indianisation has already started devouring every aspect of our society", said the CorCom convenor.
The situation demands all the people to introspect and work collectively and pro-actively to save the Nation by addressing the root causes of all the malaises afflicting Manipur society.
It's time for all the people of WESEA to unite and wage a collective struggle of liberation, Chaoren asserted.
He also paid tributes to all the 'martyrs' who had laid down their lives in the course of the liberation movement as well as to all those people who have been standing firm for the revolutionary movement in spite of suffering all kinds of repressive measures at the hands of adversary forces.
The convenor further conveyed warm greetings to all revolutionary groups of Manipur and WESEA.
