KISH calls for peace & unity

In an attempt to invigorate and awaken the value and superiority of peace in the process of building a developed society, Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills (KISH) on Tuesday called for peace and unity among members of Kuki community.
"Shun violence and cuddle peace", advocated N Sehjalien Gangte, the General Secretary of Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills who asserted that peace is the moral fiber in making a society develops while violence blew apart all development.
N Sehjalien Gangte also lamented that Sadar Hills Kuki civil society organizations particularly the Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills has been struggling for maintaining peace and harmony under all circumstances since the Inpi believe that enmity can become the core stumbling block for all development.
Expressing grave concern over the recent killing in Saichang Village in Sadar Hills, N.Sehjalien Gangte said the incident was "uncalled-for" and termed it deplorable since it can pollute the entire area.
Meanwhile, the clarification and apology on the part of KNF (N) who allegedly killed "an innocent person" and acceptance of following customary practice is worthy of appreciation, stated KISH Secretary.
The KISH leader also pointed out that factional clash between various Kuki UGs account for casualty of many innocent people.
"It is time to close the eyes to violence against one another and discover the value of brotherly love and benefit of peace which is the backbone for all kinds of development", asserted Gangte.
KISH Secretary urged all Kuki UGs operating in Sadar Hills not to further create unwanted situations in future.
In the meantime, Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills President Seikhomang Khongsai conveyed the Inpi's gratitude to Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam, IFC Minister Ngamthang and MLA Yamthong Haokip for their generous assistance and contribution towards the bereaved family of Jangkhogin Khongsai of Saichang village.
