Churachandpur, April 06 2015 :
The Superintendent of Police, Churachandpur has convened a meeting of top security officials stationed in the district along with local public leaders in an attempt to better co-ordinate relations between the two and to deliberate on grievances, if any, from both the parties, reports Singlianmang Guite.
The meet dubbed the first Security-Public Leader Interface will be hosted at the District Training Centre at the DC's office on April 9, according to an invitation dispatched by the SP office.
Top officials from the Assam Rifles, BSF, IRB, police and office of the Deputy Commissioner will represent the security set-up while the public leaders will be represented by philanthropic leaders, student bodies, tribe leaders and several CSOs.
'It will be an opportunity for the public to air their grievances in a free and frank manner and also an occasion for the security forces to feel the pulse and make suggestions,' the SP told reporters today while seeking the co-operation from one and all.
