A memorandum of understanding will also be in effect with a plastic manufacturing company based in Dimapur to ensure that there is no dearth in supply of permitted perishable polybags as and when the ban takes effect, said Poonia.
He also appealed to the people of Churachandpur to inculcate environment friendly behavior in the society to achieve the goal of non-biodegradable plastic free Churachandpur and make it a habit to carry shopping bags from home.
