Imphal, November 05 2016: A minor girl was allegedly raped and murdered by one Md Feroz Khan (25) s/o late Md Ziyaodin of Lilong Nungei Khunou at around 5 am today at a hostel located near Sunrise Public School, Lilong Nungei.

Md Feroz Khan is working as warden of the hostel which is run by Md Abir Khan.

A brother and a sister of the victim were also staying at the hostel.

The victim and her sister used to share a bed.

However, the two sisters did not sleep together last night.

When the younger one asked about her sister to warden Feroz Khan, he replied that she had gone to another bed.

But she was found dead this morning with injuries on her face, according to a press release issued by the JAC constituted against the alleged rape and murder.

The JAC then urged the State police to book the culprit within three days.

In case the concerned authority fails to book the culprit within the given deadline, the JAC would be compelled to launch different modes of agitation, it added.
