Churachandpur, August 04 2021: Assam Rifles Battalions of Churachandpur Sector under the aegis of IGAR (South) conducted a series of fectures on health and hygiene awareness under Swachh Bharat Mission at various villages of Churachandpur, Bishnupur and Noney Districts on August 4 .

The campaign was organised to create awareness among the villagers regarding health and hygiene in daily routine during monsoon to prevent spread of diseases, said a statement of IGAR(S).

In addition, lectures on precautionary measures against COVID and importance of vaccination were also conducted.

The event witnessed an overwhelming response from the local populace.

During the awareness programme, villagers were educated regarding the Nationwide spike in COVID-19 cases and the importance of Covid Appropriate Behaviour.

Later, Covid prevention kits were also distributed during the event.
