Rongmei Naga bodies laud N Biren

Imphal, June 04 2020: Many Rongmei bodies have lauded the N Biren led State Government's efforts in bringing back the State natives safely during the COVID-19 pandemic and for setting up quarantine centres for the returnees.

The Rongmei CSOs also expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Chief Minister for distributing pamphlets to Rongmei Naga Council on awareness/guidelines for COVID-19 safety measures issued by National Health Mission Manipur.

On the advice of the State Government, the Rongmei Naga Youth Organisation Manipur, Rongmei Naga Student Organisation Manipur and Rongmei Naga Council Manipur have visited and distributed the pamphlets to the quarantine centres at Noney HQ, Raengpang village, Nungba HQ, Khoupum HQ .

The CSOs had an interaction with the SDOs of Nungba and Khoupum, Medical Officer of Khoupum, OC of Khoupum P/S and after thorough assessment of the centres handed relief materials to the centres.

The CSOs have been working as volunteers for the lockdown period, working with the administration Tamenglong and Noney for containing COVID-19 pandemic, it said.
